The 2023 ELEVATE Space Conference did not disappoint, as astronauts, rocket builders, space imaging telescope creators and other bright minds shooting for the stars came together for three educational and inspiring days in the Grimaldi Forum, from Tuesday, October 17 until Thursday, October 19.

Speakers took to the stage of the Forum throughout the duration of the conference, attracting a wide audience, including Vice President and CEO of the Prince Albert II Foundation Olivier Wenden and Former French Minister of Justice, Mr Dominique Perben, who flew in to see the speakers of ELEVATE and their inputs on the future of technology and sustainability in space.

Alongside the decision makers was the future generation, as hundreds of local schoolchildren were able to visit the conference for free following a commendable decision in favour of accessibility for all under 18s, as was the case in the inaugural edition of ELEVATE last year.

ELEVATE founder Zsolt Szemerszky told NEWS.MC “it was a wonderful and thought provoking conference to leave a positive footprint for the next generation. We already started to organise the third edition for 2024. Hopefully more Monaco companies will join us to create an impactful message on sustainability.

“Three of our speakers got initial interest for equity funding from the attending private and corporate investors. For me this is a great positive impact as ELEVATE Monte-Carlo can offer these companies a true platform to successfully raise capital to create a better future,” Szemerszky continued.

That’s a wrap for ELEVATE for another year, leaving something to look forward to in 2024.
