Foreign Intrigue – The Art of the Cinema

The Audiovisual Institute of Monaco presents a 1956 American Eastmancolor noir crime film starring Robert Mitchum. The film was written, produced and directed by Sheldon Reynolds.

After the sudden death of his millionaire boss, Dave Bishop (Robert Mitchum) begins a quest to discover the source of his mysterious employer’s wealth. On a journey that will take Bishop across the European continent, particularly the French Riviera and Monaco, life-threatening encounters lurk around every corner. As Bishop soon finds out, his boss acquired his wealth through underhanded schemes and blackmail. Now that their blackmailer is dead, those who are free want to keep Bishop from taking his place. Chœur des Amants – French Theatre

Chœur des amants” (Lovers’ Choir) is a lyrical and polyphonic recital in which a young couple relate their life and death experience when one of them begins to feel stifled. Written and directed by Tiago Rodrigues, with Grégoire Monsaingeon and Alma Palacios.

Miss écolo contre les pestos – French Theatre for Children

Pestos, the king of pesticides, has stolen the scroll bearing the recipe for a new fertiliser that is harmless to insects. Miss Écolo and her acolyte Coxinette have a new mission. They are going to have to find Pestos and convince him to stop selling his polluting products. During their epic journey, they will meet Marga the bee and Camille the caterpillar, who have been weakened by the pesticides. To help them, Miss Écolo and Coxinette will need to use their magic, but can they catch Pestos? EVER Monaco 2023 – Exhibition

Since it was first held in 2006, EVER Monaco has showcased the future of energy and travel. Year after year, the new ideas and developments featured at this exhibition have gone on to become reality, and today sustainability is becoming an essential part of every aspect of our everyday life. Over time, EVER Monaco has addressed an increasingly wide selection of themes and issues, ranging from cars, bikes, and soft mobility, to industrial vehicles, sustainable habitats, and clean construction. Today, the Monegasque exhibition is expanding its remit to include air travel, as the first prototype flying cars and electric helicopters are ready. Love Your Body – Conversation

How can one love one’s body in a society that has for so long sought to conceal and modify that of women? How can one talk about the body when its representation is always subject to a normative view that seeks above all to shape bodies that perform a useful function? The extracts read by Ambre Pietri during this evening will be all about the body, a subject that forms the main focus of the works by Chantal Thomas and Geneviève Fraisse. Ninja Box – Animation

Two structures made up of obstacles will be adapted to two distinct age categories: one course for children aged 3 to 8 and another for young people aged 9 to 14. George Condo – Humanoids – Exhibition

For George Condo, “the Humanoid is not a science fiction monster, but a depiction that uses traditional methods to bring a person’s inner emotions to the surface”. Over the course of eight sections, the exhibition traces the continuity of a profuse body of work that ranges from “space beings” to Who’s Who, from Guido Reni to Bugs Bunny. Featuring specially produced paintings, the exhibition offers a glimpse of the artist’s process of invention – as crazy as it is erudite – of humanoids.
