The future of luxury and business tourism was at the heart of the Annual Conference of the Tourist and Convention Authority (DTC) on Monday October 17 at the Novotel Monte-Carlo.
The conference brings together Monaco’s tourism professionals and the DTC Promotional Offices abroad.
In the presence of the Minister of State, Pierre Dartout, and Jean Castellini, Minister of Finance and the Economy, Director of Tourism and Conventions Guy Antognelli said that following the coronavirus pandemic the tourism sector has undergone many changes.
Some have persisted and imply new avenues for development and improvement in order to best respond to customer demand in the Principality.
Franck Goldnadel – President of Nice Airport said: “There is an absolute need to transform the airline industry to be more sustainable.”
Other panelists agreed that we must not stop traveling, but travel more intelligently, while there is evidence that travellers are grouping their flights rather than flying and then returning directly to their starting point.
There was also agreement on the fact that sustainable tourism is one of the main concerns among 26- 41 years.
