His Excellency Mr Lorenzo Ravano, Ambassador of Monaco to Germany, presented his Credentials to HE Frank-Walter Steinmeier, President of the Federal Republic, during a ceremony held at the Château de Bellevue in Berlin last week.
During the private meeting which followed the ceremony, the German President discussed the European context and in particular the conflict in Ukraine, the consequences of which are felt worldwide.
The new Ambassador spoke of the Sovereign Prince’s condemnation of the military aggression against Ukraine, as well as His call for a ceasefire and respect for international law and the territorial integrity of States.
In addition, President Steinmeier praised HSH the Sovereign Prince’s commitment to protecting the environment and preserving the oceans. His Excellency Mr Lorenzo Ravano spoke of the forthcoming participation of the Prince in the 15th “International Coral Reef Symposium” in Bremen.
The President and the Ambassador discussed their desire to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries, in the diplomatic, economic and cultural fields. The 50th anniversary of the German International Club of Monaco will take place in 2023.
HE Mr Ravano is the seventh Ambassador of Monaco to the Federal Republic of Germany.
