As last year, Mr Laurent Anselmi, Minister of External Relations and Cooperation, has taken part, together with Mrs Alexandra Valleta-Ardisson, Deputy representing the Alpes-Maritimes, in “Christmas for children of the Roya.”

The operation was supported by the Sovereign Prince and the Principality and is part of Monaco’s contribution to repairing the catastrophic damage caused by storm Alex last year. Ms Simone Pastor, who was present at the event, was also one of the patrons.

The day took place in three stages, with three successive stops of a “Santa Claus train”, specially chartered by the SNCF, partner of the operation, in Breil-sur-Roya then in Fontan and finally in Tende.

Gifts were given at festive buffets to children attending schools in all the municipalities of Haute Roya, in the presence of their Mayors and many elected officials. Mr Anselmi spoke to convey to children and adults a Merry Christmas from HSH the Prince and his Government. Mrs Alexandra As last year, Mr Laurent Anselmi, Minister of External Relations and Cooperation, took part, alongside Mrs Alexandra Valleta-Ardisson thanked the Monegasque authorities, to the applause of those present.
