Monaco’s benchmark coronavirus infection rate jumped from 409.39 per 100,000 to 544.98 from Sunday December 5 until Sunday December 12. In the neighbouring Alpes-Maritimes the rate is now 698 per 100,000, according to Public Health France.

In the Principality, the figures were based on an increased number of tests over the last seven days, 7,051 in total.

On Monday 20 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Monaco, together with 35 full recoveries.

The number of patients being treated for coronavirus at Princess Grace Hospital stood at 19 on Monday night, including eight residents.

A total of 158 residents with mild symptoms are recovering at home.
