An employee of the Nice town hall has appeared in court in Monaco to answer accusations of having sent nude photos of his former lover after the break-up of their relationship.
The accused was said to have been suffering emotionally when he sent the photos to his ex-girlfriend. He told the court that they had been a couple for more than a year, local French-language daily Monaco Matin reported.
He said he had not shared the pictures with any third parties, but the plaintiff told the court that the photos had been taken without her knowledge.
A six-month jail sentence, suspended, was requested by the prosecution, while the defence lawyer said that her client was feeling injustice, sadness, and despair. It also came to light that the defendant had made a loan of 6,000 euros to the ex-partner, but it had never been repaid.
The court decided on a penalty of two months in prison, suspended.
