The Prince’s Government strongly recommends that people coming back to the Principality from visits abroad be tested upon their return, as the virus remains very active in many regions of Europe.
In a press release on Monday, December 14, the government said that the risk of spread is accentuated by cold and wet winter weather conditions which keep the virus strong.
As of Wednesday, December 16, all students who return to Monaco for the end-of-year celebrations will be able to benefit from a free PCR screening without medical prescription at the Léo Ferré National Screening Centre.
From Monday December 21, residents and employees of the Principality returning from a holiday abroad, including in France, and who wish to be screened will also be able to benefit from it free of charge and without a medical prescription at the Centre.
In all cases, simply contact the COVID19 Call Centre at 92 05 55 00 to indicate that you wish to be tested. You will then be called back by the secretariat of the National Screening Centre who will schedule an appointment for you. This screening will provide reassurance and, more generally, it will allow the health authorities to check the virological status of the population.
