The Futurum Award was presented on Wednesday, October 16, to British visual artist and sculptor Sir Anish Kapoor, well known in Monaco for his work Sky Mirror, the steel globe in the centre of the Place du Casino that was inaugurated by HSH Prince Albert on July 10, 2007.

The Futurum Award has been awarded seven times to date to personalities who came to Monaco to share their experiences during an exceptional evening in the presence of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, Honorary President of the Association.

Futurum is an association founded in Monaco in September 2009 with the aim of developing and encouraging “futuristic” events in the world of art or science. Over the years members have been able to enjoy shows, private visits to important museums, as well as to attend original ‘futuristic’ initiatives, always with the same objective: to discover and appreciate artists capable of associating their talent with innovative technologies.
