Monaco Legend Group returns to the Principality this weekend for its autumn Exclusive Timepieces auction, bringing together an exceptional collection of rare and historically significant watches at Le Méridien Beach Plaza on Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November 1…
The sale follows an impressive performance at the auction house’s April 2026 event, which achieved €26.46 million in total sales and a 98.3 percent sell-through rate. Following an international exhibition tour encompassing Geneva, Hong Kong, Milan, New York and Bologna, attention now turns to Monte-Carlo for another major weekend of watch collecting.
Leading the Rolex selection is a remarkable stainless-steel reference 6062 triple-calendar moonphase from 1955, featuring a rare two-tone ‘Explorer’ dial. Originally purchased by a Hong Kong graduate to celebrate completing his studies at Imperial College London, the watch remained with its first owner for more than six decades before joining renowned collector John Goldberger’s collection in 2017. Its exceptional preservation and documented provenance make it a significant highlight. Other notable Rolex watches include a Daytona reference 16520 with a rare salmon-coloured dial and a remarkable GMT-Master reference 6542.
