The Prince’s Government has increased the frequency of bus line L2, which connects the Salines car park to Monaco-Ville, on Saturdays and Sundays through the end of the summer season, as part of efforts to ease traffic flow across the Principality.

Since July 4, three additional buses have been added to the L2 route between 10am and 1pm on weekends, boosting overall service on one of Monaco’s busiest connections during the summer months.

The Government explained the move responds directly to heavy weekend demand on the L2 line, particularly from passengers departing the Salines car park. The added frequency is intended to improve comfort for riders during peak hours and help smooth the flow of movement between the car park and Monaco-Ville.

As part of the wider push to encourage motorists to leave their cars behind, the Government also reminded visitors arriving by car that they can benefit from 10 free rides on the Compagnie des Autobus de Monaco network, provided they park at the Salines car park upon entering the city.
