Monaco’s business community is looking towards Montenegro for fresh opportunities, with more than 20 companies taking part in an economic mission organised by the Monaco Chamber of Commerce…

The initiative aims to strengthen commercial ties between the two countries, bringing entrepreneurs together to explore potential partnerships and investment opportunities. During meetings with the Montenegro Chamber of Commerce, Monegasque representatives discovered an economy offering considerable potential across several sectors. Infrastructure, technology, financial services, wealth management and international trade were among the areas discussed, alongside opportunities in Montenegro’s agricultural and food industries.

Despite their differences in size, both countries share characteristics as relatively small economies seeking to develop their international connections. Montenegro’s use of the euro and its developing financial sector were highlighted as particularly interesting for Monaco businesses, whilst investment in marinas and coastal infrastructure also attracted attention.

For participating entrepreneurs, the mission offered something equally valuable: direct contact with potential clients and local partners. Several representatives emphasised that face-to-face meetings provide opportunities that are difficult to replicate through emails or remote introductions.

The visit reflects Monaco’s continuing efforts to help its businesses expand internationally, whilst offering Montenegro access to new expertise and investment. Both sides expressed optimism that the connections established during the mission could develop into lasting commercial relationships.
