Monaco’s sporting community gathered on April 9th for the first-ever Code Sport Awards Night, marking a new milestone for the Principality’s only dedicated sports magazine…
Founded in 2012, the bi-monthly publication has built its reputation by covering not only major events such as the Monte-Carlo Masters and the Grand Prix, but also the wider ecosystem that supports sport in Monaco.
The awards evening reflected that philosophy, celebrating the often-overlooked figures behind athletic success. Coaches, administrators, volunteers and organisers were all recognised alongside athletes, highlighting the collective effort required to sustain Monaco’s sporting excellence. Around 130 guests attended, creating an opportunity for exchange, reflection and shared memories linked to the magazine’s coverage over the years.
Among those honoured were key figures who contribute to Monaco’s international sporting profile, including leading representatives from the Olympic and institutional landscape, as well as His Serene Highness Prince Albert II. Their presence underlined the importance of sport as a pillar of the Principality’s global identity.
The evening also served as a platform to unveil the latest issue of Code Sport, which features in-depth interviews, including a cover story on a prominent Monaco coach, and a special focus on sports journalism in the Principality. By highlighting those who work behind the scenes, the publication continues its mission to broaden the narrative around sport and inspire future generations.
