A vibrant collection of abstract paintings has transformed the lobby of Le Méridien Beach Plaza into a contemporary art gallery, as French artist Brigitte Aliot presents IN FILE, an exhibition celebrating colour, movement and the freedom of individual interpretation…

Running until January 16, 2027, the exhibition forms part of the hotel’s ongoing artistic programme at Le Méridien Hub, bringing contemporary creativity into an everyday setting.

A self-taught artist from Lyon, Aliot has developed her distinctive style over nearly two decades. Working within the tradition of Lyrical Abstraction, her work encompasses expressive colours, sweeping curves and fluid compositions. Her techniques include applying ceramic paint to create textured, glossy structures before introducing acrylic colour, alongside larger works produced using spray paint.

Rather than explaining what her paintings represent, Aliot prefers to leave their meaning entirely open to the viewer. What one person sees as a landscape, another might interpret as a familiar object or an expression of emotion.

The hotel’s public spaces provide an ideal setting for this approach, allowing guests and visitors to encounter art spontaneously. So, whatever brings you to Le Meridian; a wonderful welcome awaits. Set against the backdrop of the beautiful ocean view, a visit for a coffee and a browse of the art exhibition is well worth it, even if you aren’t an overnight guest. This incredible commitment to cultural discovery extends through Le Méridien’s Unlock Art programme, which offers hotel guests complimentary admission to exhibitions at the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco (NMNM) simply by presenting their room key.

IN FILE is open to visitors until January 16, 2027.
