Students at Collège Charles III enjoyed a memorable day as AS Monaco FC players visited for a special question-and-answer session aimed at inspiring young people…

Alji Bamba and Mamadou Coulibaly spoke openly about their journeys, highlighting the discipline, commitment and sacrifices required to succeed at the highest level of professional sport.

The session took an unexpected turn with the arrival of club captain Denis Zakaria, who joined the discussion and shared his own experiences, much to the delight of the students. The initiative, designed to strengthen links between schools and elite athletes, offered a rare opportunity for pupils to engage directly with top-level professionals and ask questions about life in football.

Beyond the excitement, the visit carried a strong educational message. Teachers emphasised the importance of effort, perseverance and resilience, values reinforced by the players’ testimonies. Following the discussion, students took to the court for a friendly match alongside the professionals, turning inspiration into action.

For many, it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience—one that left a lasting impression and brought dreams of top-level sport a little closer to reality.
