Monaco’s young residents took to the ice yesterday evening for a lively Ice Party at the rink of the Stade Nautique Rainier III, transforming the venue into a festive space dedicated entirely to youth and winter fun…

Organised by Monaco City Hall, the event welcomed more than a hundred children and teenagers between 7pm and 11pm for an evening of music, skating and socialising. A DJ set the tone, creating an energetic atmosphere on and off the ice, while food stands — including hot dogs and snacks included in the €20 entry — kept spirits high throughout the night.

The initiative, originally conceived by the Communal Junior Project several years ago, was revived this season alongside the return of the ice rink to Monaco. The goal was simple: offer young people a safe and engaging evening out during the winter period, combining sport, entertainment and friendship.

From early in the evening, queues formed outside the rink as eager participants arrived, many looking to unwind after a week of school. Inside, experienced skaters from the Monaco Skating Club shared the ice with beginners, with some taking the opportunity to demonstrate impressive figure-skating skills to an enthusiastic crowd.

The Ice Party forms part of a broader programme of youth-focused activities organised by the municipality throughout the season.

Following the success of the evening, City Hall has already announced its next events, including a laser game night at the Espace Léo Ferré scheduled for February 14 and 15.

For Monaco’s younger generation, the winter season continues to offer moments of fun, connection and community on and off the ice.
