The Prince’s Palace issued a statement on Friday evening confirming that HSH Prince Albert II has undergone a short, scheduled medical procedure to treat a benign condition affecting his scalp and face…

The intervention, carried out as part of routine dermatological monitoring, required a small number of stitches and was described as minor, with no cause for concern.

The Palace said the decision to communicate was intended to avoid speculation, given the Sovereign’s regular public appearances and busy official diary. It stressed that the procedure has no impact on the Prince’s health or ability to carry out his duties.

According to the statement, HSH Prince Albert II’s programme continues as planned. On Friday afternoon, he maintained his visit to Venturi Space at the Gildo Pastor Center, and in the evening was scheduled to attend the opening of the Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival in Fontvieille.

Further engagements are also expected to proceed normally, underlining that the treatment was precautionary and routine, with no disruption to official commitments.
