Monte-Carlo is set to welcome the festive season with a musical flourish as the Société des Bains de Mer launches its Christmas programme across the Resort from Saturday, November 29 through to Monday, January 6. The celebrations will kick off, as tradition dictates, with the illumination of the Place du Casino, marking the start of over a month of winter magic, family-friendly entertainment, and seasonal indulgences.
The iconic giant snow globes will return to the Place du Casino for their final display, surrounding a Christmas tree more than 20 metres high. This year’s theme, “The Magic of Christmas in Monte-Carlo,” features five new musical scenes: Le Ballet Enchanté, Le Chœur de Noël, Le Goûter des Rennes, Le Ciel de Noël, and Minuit. Children can follow the adventures of five charming reindeer—Flocon, Rose, Hercule, Stella, and Rudolph—who will also appear in a sound-and-light show projected onto the Casino façade every 30 minutes on December weekends, and nightly during school holidays. Father Christmas will visit the square with his choir on Saturday, December 20, Sunday, December 21, Wednesday, December 24, and Thursday, December 25, from 13:00 to 17:00 p.m.
The festive atmosphere extends throughout the Resort, with decorations along Avenue des Beaux-Arts, Allée François-Blanc, and One Monte-Carlo. Promenade Shopping Monte-Carlo boutiques will be open daily in December, except for Christmas Day. Wooden chalets on Avenue de Monte-Carlo will operate from Thursday, November 14 to Saturday, January 4, from 10:30 to 19:00 (extended to 20:00 during school holidays), offering Christmas decorations, gifts, and gourmet treats. Hotels in the Group are also participating, including a Chopard-themed tree at Hôtel de Paris, a tree by Marco Traverso at Hôtel Hermitage, and musical-box displays at Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort.
Families are in for a treat with a full programme of children’s activities. Hôtel Hermitage will host its traditional Christmas Teas in the Belle Epoque Room on Saturday, December 20 to Tuesday, December 23, from 15:00, featuring sweet and savoury buffets, creative workshops, magicians, and seasonal entertainment. At New Moods on Sunday, December 21, children aged 3–7 can enjoy Le Rêve de Noël, while those aged 8–12 can join the Christmas Dance Party.
Food enthusiasts will also find plenty to savour. The Resort’s signature bûche, inspired by Christmas Melodies, will be served in restaurants and available to take away from Mada One. Chef Cédric Grolet’s Christmas bûches will be offered from Tuesday, December 10 to Tuesday, December 31. His Christmas Tea Time at Hôtel de Paris will run from Tuesday, December 17 to Saturday, January 4, featuring pastries, cakes, scones, orangettes, savoury fingers, and festive drinks such as Chaï Latte, mulled wine, and hot chocolate. Pavyllon Monte-Carlo at Hôtel Hermitage will host a Black Truffle dinner created by Yannick Alléno on Thursday, December 12.
Seasonal pop-ups add to the festive fun. The Perrier-Jouët chalet on Square Beaumarchais will be open daily from Friday, December 13 to Saturday, January 4, from 14:00 to 20:00 The Boulingrins carousel Christmas chalet will operate from Friday, November 8 to Sunday, March 8, serving crêpes, churros, and hot drinks. The Blue Gin winter chalet will run from Monday, November 18 to Saturday, March 1, opening daily from 18:30 p.m, offering cocktails, live DJ sets, and a cozy snowy atmosphere with views over the Mediterranean.
The Casino Café de Paris will host a giant Advent Calendar for My Monte-Carlo loyalty programme members from Monday, December 1 to Wednesday, December 24, giving participants the chance to open a daily window and win prizes worth over 24,000 euros in total.
For those planning festive meals, the Resort’s restaurants will offer special Christmas Eve dinners, Christmas Day lunches, and New Year celebrations. The season will conclude in style with an ABBA Tribute at Sporting Monte-Carlo to welcome 2026.
