Monaco Legend Group has opened the fall auction season with its strongest result to date, achieving €28.6 million in sales across two sessions in Monte-Carlo and selling 97% of all lots offered….
The auction, held on October 18 and 19 at the Hôtel Méridien Beach Plaza, drew collectors from across Europe and the entire world, with bidding described by attendees as “energetic” and “at times aggressive”, especially for rare Rolex and Patek Philippe models.
The top-performing lot was a Rolex reference 6062 moon phase triple calendar in yellow gold, distinguished by its black dial and diamond indexes. It sold for €5.33 million, the highest public result ever recorded for the reference and the third most expensive Rolex ever sold. A Patek Philippe reference 2481 with cloisonné enamel “Tropical Rain Forest” dial followed at €936,000, a very strong price within the growing enamel category.

Rolex Day-Date ref. 6612B in platinum with Eastern Arabic discs: €533,000
Rolex triple calendar chronograph ref. 6036 “Serpico y Laino” : €676,000
Patek Philippe split seconds chronograph ref. 5004: €884,000
Prototype Rolex Steel Day-Date: €152,100
Reflecting on the result, Co-Chairman Davide Parmegiani said the figures were “a clear sign that collectors are still willing to fight for the very best.” He added: “This was not a sale won on hype, it was won on scholarship, rarity and confidence. When great watches appear in the right context, the market responds immediately.”
Chairman Claude Cohen said the auction set the tone for what comes next. “This weekend showed that Monaco is not just a scenic backdrop, it is now a centre for serious collecting,” he stated. “We have proved what our team can deliver. From here, we’re only going to raise the bar.”
The result marks a milestone for Monaco Legend Group, which has steadily grown since launching its watch division in 2019. With further sales in the pipeline for 2026, the auction house is increasingly positioning Monaco as a central hub for high-end watch collecting.
