Monaco’s Mareterra district will take centre stage this autumn as the Principality hosts the third edition of Week-end Nature on Saturday, October 11 and Sunday, October 12, from 10:00 to 16:30. The event, organised by the Department of Urban Amenities through its Gardens Section, will open the doors to one of Monaco’s most ambitious sustainable developments.
This year’s theme, “Explorer”, invites residents and visitors alike to discover the landscape design behind Mareterra, a district that symbolises Monaco’s commitment to eco-friendly urban planning and biodiversity.
Throughout the weekend, teams from the Department of Urban Amenities will lead a series of free, family-friendly workshops and activities, including interactive planting design games, eco-creative sessions such as plant composition and potting workshops, and guided discovery tours highlighting Mareterra’s green spaces and environmental innovations.
The programme aims to shed light on the thoughtful planning and species selection that shape the district’s natural identity, while emphasising the environmental challenges and sustainable vision that underpin this new chapter in Monaco’s urban landscape.
Entry is free, and all activities will take place in the Mareterra district.
