Port Hercule exploded into colour and sound on Saturday night as Monaco’s first summer fireworks display dazzled a crowd of thousands…

Organised by the Mairie de Monaco, the event transformed the Quai Albert Ier into a festive spectacle of lights, music, and joy, drawing visitors from across the region and beyond, including tourists from the UK, Morocco, and further afield. Many arrived early to enjoy the atmosphere, which peaked with a breathtaking 15-minute firework show launched from the Fishermen’s Esplanade by Flashart Monaco and perfectly timed to a custom soundtrack.

To ensure a safe and smooth experience, the event featured a comprehensive security plan including private agents and support from the Monaco police, with a capacity limit set at 8,000 guests. Crowd numbers were monitored closely throughout the evening to maintain comfort and safety, adding to the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. As the fireworks lit up the Riviera sky, cheers and applause broke out, many praising the music synchronization and emotional tone of the display, which was described by attendees as “romantic,” “delicate,” and “incredible.”

Following the show, the celebration continued with a DJ party, keeping the energy high and the crowd dancing well into the night. With the success of this first evening, excitement is already building for the next fireworks night, scheduled for Saturday, August 9. If this weekend was any indication, Monaco’s summer skies are set to shine once again.
