Monte-Carlo is getting a stylish, sustainable makeover this summer thanks to a unique collaboration between IBELIV and Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer. Throughout July, the St James glasshouse in the iconic Jardins des Boulingrins will be transformed into a pop-up boutique offering chic summer essentials — from raffia handbags to finely crocheted hats and accessories — all handcrafted with care and conscience.
This exclusive summer collection is the result of a partnership between the luxury Madagascan brand IBELIV and Monaco’s prestigious Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer. Founded over a decade ago by Liva Ramanandraibe, known as “Liv,” IBELIV has made a name for itself by blending the timeless beauty of natural raffia with ethical craftsmanship. The brand now employs 2,000 women artisans in Madagascar, each of whom personally signs the piece she creates — making every item not only a fashion statement but a story of empowerment and tradition.
The pop-up store, just steps from the famed Place du Casino, is more than a shopping destination — it’s a celebration of craftsmanship and sustainable values shared by both IBELIV and Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer. The Group, known for its commitment to excellence since 1863, has long highlighted the talents of its own artisans across trades like carpentry, sewing, and painting, alongside a growing focus on eco-responsible practices.
The exclusive collection features five distinct colourways, each inspired by the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer’s prestigious establishments: black for Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer itself, yellow for Monte-Carlo Beach, turquoise for Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort, navy blue for Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, and light grey for Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo. These details elevate each piece into a symbol of refinement, dedication, and sustainability — perfectly echoing Liv’s philosophy: “Faire le beau en faisant le bien” — Create beauty by doing good.
The collection is available at the pop-up in the Jardins des Boulingrins from Tuesday, July 1 to Thursday, July 31, open daily from 10:00 to 19:00, and also in select boutiques across the Monte-Carlo Resort throughout the summer season.
