Monaco once again placed itself at the forefront of sustainable innovation with the second edition of the Monaco Clean Fusion Forum, held on April 28, at the Yacht Club de Monaco…

Organised with the support of the Prince Albert II Foundation, the event gathered global experts, innovators, and leaders to explore breakthrough technologies in clean energy, including a world-first demonstration of remote nuclear fusion.

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II was present to welcome participants and underline the Principality’s ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility and carbon-neutral innovation. The forum served as a unique platform to discuss the future of clean energy, with a strong focus on fusion as a transformative solution.

The standout moment came from Californian company Alpha Ring, which showcased its integration of artificial intelligence into nuclear fusion technology. The team successfully demonstrated a live, remote-controlled fusion reaction, linking machines located in California and Taiwan, a feat dubbed the first-ever “transatlantic fusion.”

“This is a product that can generate an enormous amount of data, allowing AI to learn and optimise in real time,” explained the Alpha Ring team. “This is the first time in the history of fusion that such a transcontinental demonstration has been achieved.”

The Monaco Clean Fusion Forum has quickly become a key event in the global clean energy calendar. By welcoming pioneering voices and encouraging high-level dialogue, Monaco reaffirms its dedication to an environmentally respectful energy transition, one powered not just by science, but by collaboration and vision.
