A new Monaco-based app is aiming to make small home repairs quicker and easier by connecting residents with qualified technicians for a wide range of everyday maintenance jobs…

FixUp was launched earlier this year and is designed to reduce the often lengthy waiting times associated with minor repair work. The platform covers services including plumbing, electrical work, furniture assembly and disassembly, appliance diagnostics and the installation of items such as television wall brackets.

For homeowners who are unsure of the cause of a fault, FixUp also offers a 45-minute consultation, allowing a technician to assess the issue and provide advice before any work is carried out.

The service operates on a fixed-rate 45-minute pricing model, giving customers clear costs in advance with no unexpected charges. Users can also choose appointment times that suit their schedules.

The official launch is planned for September, with three technicians set to provide services across Monaco and neighbouring French municipalities. According to its founders, many of the jobs undertaken are the kind that homeowners repeatedly postpone despite taking only a short time to complete.

Following strong early interest, the company is already exploring expansion into France and other European markets.
