The Monegasque Institute for Training in Judicial Professions (IMFPJ) celebrated an important milestone this week with its first-ever certificate award ceremony…
The event marked the completion of an eight-month training programme dedicated to the study of Monegasque law.Held in Monaco, it recognised the achievements of 82 participants who successfully completed courses designed to strengthen legal knowledge and professional skills.
Over the academic year, more than 200 people attended conferences and training sessions covering a wide range of subjects, including public law, private law and business law. Participants seeking certification were required to attend sessions regularly and complete a final assessment interview.
The institute offered several pathways during the 2025–2026 academic year, including preparation programmes for aspiring lawyers, magistrates and police lieutenants, alongside a professional certification in Monegasque law and an introductory course aimed at non-legal professionals. The latter attracted accountants, insurers, real estate professionals and others seeking a deeper understanding of the Principality’s unique legal framework.
The ceremony also highlighted the success of candidates in Monaco’s judicial competitions, including a Monegasque student who successfully passed the magistrates’ examination after years of university study and intensive preparation through the institute.
Created to promote expertise in Monegasque law and support the development of judicial professions, the IMFPJ aims to ensure that professionals working within the Principality are equipped with a strong understanding of the legal specificities that distinguish Monaco’s judicial system.
