Commuters along the Côte d’Azur are facing a difficult Tuesday, as an equipment failure has brought train services between Cagnes-sur-Mer and Monaco to a standstill.

SNCF had initially expected to restore the line by around 18:30 on the evening of Tuesday, June 16, but the operator has now confirmed that normal service will not resume until 5am on Wednesday, June 17.

In the meantime, travellers are being urged to seek alternative transport. Trains currently running through Nice station are facing delays of around two hours, with a significant number of services cancelled altogether.
