In a significant step towards modernising public transport services, the Principality of Monaco has launched its brand-new mobile application, TAXI MONACO, on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.
Developed by a Monegasque company based in the Monaco Boost incubator, the app aims to streamline access to taxi services for residents and visitors alike—just in time for the summer season and Monaco’s major upcoming events.
The TAXI MONACO app is part of the Principality’s broader digital transformation initiative, Extended Monaco, and offers a user-friendly platform for booking, tracking, and paying for rides with just a few clicks. With features including real-time ride tracking, in-app driver communication, and secure mobile payments, it promises a seamless, high-quality experience that meets international standards.
This launch complements the recently developed www.taximonaco.mc website, which provides detailed information about available services, including a fare estimator for planning journeys more efficiently. Together with the registered brand TAXI MONACO and its new logo, these digital tools aim to improve visibility and elevate the professional image of Monaco’s official taxi network.
With the support of A.E.T.I.M. (Association des Exploitants des Taxis Indépendants de Monaco), this evolution marks a new chapter for Monaco’s public transport. The app empowers the Principality’s taxi drivers to deliver a modern, efficient, and responsive service to a discerning clientele. Whether heading to a business meeting, the beach, or one of Monaco’s world-renowned events, riders can now count on a fast, reliable, and tech-savvy taxi experience.
