The Consultative Commission for Youth (CCJ) held its fifth meeting since 2004 on Thursday, March 6, led by Mr. Beffre, Monaco’s Minister of the Interior. The session highlighted the government’s focus on involving young people in shaping the Principality’s future.

Beffre opened the meeting, stressing the need to engage with youth groups. “The government must connect with them to talk about what’s ahead,” he said. The discussion featured key figures like Mr. Vinci, Director of National Education, Youth, and Sports, Ms. Le Clerc, head of the National Council’s youth committee, and Ms. Boscagli Leclercq, Deputy Mayor for Youth and Gender Equality. About 20 young representatives from local organisations also attended.

The government shared updates on youth-focused efforts, including education and sports initiatives. The young participants responded with their own ideas, showing their desire to influence change. One attendee summed it up: “We want to be part of the process.”

Started 20 years ago, the CCJ links Monaco’s youth with its leaders. This meeting mixed policy details with the energy of a generation ready to act. Plans for more sessions signal ongoing collaboration. Monaco’s youth are making their mark, and this is just the beginning.
