The Monaco City Hall is offering young residents a unique opportunity to participate in the 2025 edition of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities, as part of the Council of Europe’s “Rejuvenating Politics” initiative…
This program is designed to encourage youth engagement in politics and foster intergenerational dialogue on matters of common interest. Young people aged 18 to 30, of Monegasque nationality or residing in the Principality, are invited to apply for this program. Successful candidates will participate as youth delegates in the 48th and 49th sessions of the Congress, which will take place in Strasbourg from March 25–27 and October 28–30, 2025.
Delegates will actively contribute to debates and work alongside elected members of the Municipal Council, with the opportunity to develop their own local projects under the Congress’s auspices.
Applicants must meet specific criteria, including holding a passport from one of the 46 Council of Europe member states, demonstrating motivation and openness to engage in dialogue, and being fluent in English. The application process involves completing an online form and submitting a 30-second video explaining their aspirations.
The deadline for applications is December 31, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. Detailed information, including program objectives, selection procedures, and submission guidelines, is available on the Monaco City Hall website at https://www.mairie.mc/appel-a-candidatures-participation-au-congres-des-pouvoirs-locaux-et-regionaux-2025.
This initiative underscores Monaco’s commitment to empowering its youth and bridging generational gaps to address critical political and social issues.
