HSH Prince Albert honoured HE Pierre Dartout, the outgoing Minister of State, by bestowing upon him the rank of Commander of the Order of Saint-Charles. This recognition marks the conclusion of Dartout’s mandate, which has seen significant developments and challenges for the Principality.

The Order of Saint-Charles, one of the highest honours in the Principality, is awarded to those who have demonstrated exceptional service to the state.

Pierre Dartout has served as Monaco’s Minister of State since September 2020, navigating the complexities of his role during an especially challenging period marked by the global pandemic, economic pressures, and environmental concerns. During his tenure, Dartout worked closely with the sovereign to implement policies aimed at maintaining Monaco’s economic stability and reinforcing its reputation as a leader in environmental sustainability.

Under his leadership, Monaco strengthened its international relationships, promoted sustainable development initiatives, and managed the public health response to COVID-19. Dartout was particularly noted for his efforts in supporting the economic recovery of the Principality, helping local businesses to adapt and survive during the global crisis.

As Monaco looks to the future, Dartout’s leadership will be remembered for its dedication to maintaining the Principality’s prosperity and unique character in the face of contemporary challenges.
