HSH Prince Albert and Princess Charlene officially opened ‘The Olympic Flame over Time’ exhibition at the Grimaldi Forum on Thursday, July 18. Organised by the Monegasque Olympic Committee, this special exhibition commemorates the centenary of John B. Kelly Sr.’s third olympic gold medal in rowing, a significant achievement in 1924 by Prince Albert’s grandfather.
The exhibition features the sovereign’s private collection of 40 Olympic torches, representing both the Summer and Winter Games from 1936 to 2024. These iconic symbols of the hallowed event are displayed along a 40-meter structure divided into two sides, offering visitors an immersive experience that showcases the evolution of the Olympic torches.
A must-see for sports enthusiasts and curious visitors alike, the exhibition will be open to the public until Sunday, August 18.
