The 16th meeting of the Scientific Council for Statistics and Economic Studies took place at the Ministry of State on Tuesday, July 2, led by its new President, Professor Pierre Dubois. The session included a presentation by Alexandre Bubbio, Director of IMSEE, highlighting key projects such as the study of housing needs, the ESPAD 2024 survey, the population census, and ongoing work.
Members of the council shared insights and provided recommendations to enhance Monaco’s statistical system. The meeting concluded with remarks from Monaco Minister of State Pierre Dartout, who acknowledged the contributions of the former President, Professor Chiappori, now the Government Advisor-Minister of Finance and Economy, and welcomed Professor Dubois.
The council, which advises the Minister of State, plays a crucial role in guiding the Prince’s Government with essential publications and statistical analyses. The meeting ended with a working lunch at the Residence of the Minister of State.
