On the occasion of the Formula 1 Grand Prix, and while facing exceptional attendance on its body of water, Monaco’s Department of Maritime Affairs (DAM) is carrying out preventive actions promoting safe navigation and the protection of the marine environment.

A flyer produced by the DAM is distributed each year, ahead of two major events in the Principality; the GP in May, then the Monaco Yacht Show after the summer.

The document is given to both local boaters and pleasure vessels anchored in Monegasque waters, as the DAM aims to raise awareness of Monegasque maritime regulations.

Beyond this awareness aspect, the DAM is also present on the water throughout the duration of the GP in order to enforce speed limits, areas prohibited for navigation and anchoring, and to regulate traffic in the two ports.
