The Princess and the Presidents – at the Princess Grace Irish Library

An illustrated talk on the relationship between the Prince’s Family and successive Irish presidents as seen through their correspondence. Based on her bestselling book The Presidents’ Letters: An Unexpected History of Ireland, journalist and author Flor MacCarthy presents highlights which show the warm friendship between Ireland and Monaco which continues to this day. Monaco Ocean Week – Event

The environment will be the central theme of the 7th Monaco Ocean Week, with press conferences, workshops, symposiums, awards ceremonies, exhibitions, documentary screenings, and awareness campaigns, all focused on protecting the oceans. A Flower in the Mouth – The Art of the Cinema

The Audiovisual Institute of Monaco presents a 2021 film directed by Éric Baudelaire.

How to live the time that remains? Une fleur à la bouche is a hybrid feature film, half-documentary diptych, shot in the largest flower market in the world, half-fiction, about a man suffering from an incurable illness, adapted from a play by Luigi Pirandello. In partnership with the NMNM – Nouveau Musée National de Monaco. On Tuesday, March 19 at 20:00 at the Théâtre des Variétés.

MonacoUSA Networking Cocktail

A pirate adventure for all ages, an exploration not just of the seas, but of our fears too. Meet Océane, daughter of none other than Redbeard, bloodthirsty pirate and scourge of the oceans. It is her duty to follow in her father’s footsteps and succeed him as captain. But there’s just one problem: she can’t swim. In fact, she’s scared stiff of the water. How will she tell him? Fortunately, she can count on the help of her winged companion Bako, but will they succeed? All hands on deck! La métamorphose des cigognes – Theatre

The “metamorphosis of the storks” is the violent and simple story of a man shut in a room with an empty cup. For an hour, he attempts to follow the protocol without which his project will not see the light of day: to create life through in-vitro fertilisation. As a series of characters appear to him, each so eager to seem pragmatic that they ultimately seem mad, Marc Arnaud describes a most trivial situation with great poetry, and transforms his sordid prison into the fantastical world of his imagination.

A simple wrong number turns a domestic incident into an incredible quirk of fate. He is instantly enchanted by his invisible caller. She is attracted to his charming voice and sense of humour. Quatuor Modigliani – Le Printemps des Arts

Franz Schubert and Felix Mendelssohn. Two precocious geniuses, both masters of the string quartet, a genre they transformed. Their final pieces are almost like silent movies for four musicians. The Quatuor Modigliani brings them together for these two concerts that retrace their lives’ work. IAM – Concert

Marseille-based rappers Akhenaton, Shurik’n, Kheops, Imhotep and Kephren, who together make up THE iconic rap group IAM, will perform on stage at the Espace Léo Ferré. Formed in 1989, they have marked the history of French music with hits familiar to every generation including “Je danse le Mia” and “Petit frère”. Following their triumphant concert devoted to the music of Felix Mendelssohn last year, Insula Orchestra and their leader Laurence Equilbey are returning to the Printemps des Arts de Monte-Carlo for two programmes. Earth Hour – Event

As every year for the past 11 years, Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer is taking part in the symbolic Earth Hour event. The lights on the frontages of the Group’s most prestigious venues will be dimmed for one hour, to save energy and demonstrate their commitment to the cause of sustainability. The Prince and the Mediterranean – Exhibition

As part of commemorations marking the centenary of Prince Rainier III (1923-2023), the Oceanographic Museum presents its new permanent exhibition, “The Prince and the Mediterranean”. Visitors to the exhibition, the Oceanographic Institute’s tribute to the unshakeable connection between Princer Rainier III and the ocean, and the Mediterranean Sea in particular, will step aboard his ship, Deo Juvante II. Guided by the voice of H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie, they will navigate through four fascinating spaces, each exploring a different facet of the Prince and his passion for all things aquatic. Pier Paolo Calzolari – Casa ideale – Exhibition

Pier Paolo Calzolari is known for the formal originality of a multidisciplinary art (painting, sculpture, but also performances understood in the sense of “acts of passion”), often using organic materials such as tobacco leaves, fire, or frost to create “installation pieces” that push the boundaries of contemporary art. This retrospective exhibition, entitled “Casa ideale”, is a rare opportunity to discover the world of an artist who has left his mark on the history of art through a mostly unconventional approach to the various artistic forms.
