Monaco Explorations will announce their next mission in Mediterranean at the Ocean Decade Conference in Barcelona on April 9 and 10
The Société des Explorations de Monaco plans to unveil its new mission in the Mediterranean at Barcelona, during the satellite event organised the day before the United Nations Conference of Ocean Decade, on April 9, through a series of captivating meetings.
The next day, HSH Prince Albert will announce this mission during the opening official statement of the Conference, particularly highlighting His commitment to Marine Protected Areas in the Mediterranean and its ambition to contribute to approaching the objective of 30% of marine ecosystems protected by 2030, a theme that will be the thread leader of the new Monaco Explorations mission.
The mission is part of the “Monaco Explorations” project, approved by the Decade of United Nations for Ocean Sciences for Sustainable Development 2021-2030. The satellite event organised by Monaco Explorations in partnership with MedPan, TheMedFund, CAR/ASP, Monk Seal Alliance and the Yacht Club de Monaco will include several highlights: a networking event, round tables, the inauguration of an exhibition on the marines protected areas by HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, the presence of Tuiga at the Vell port of Barcelona, and other media activities.
This announcement will also be an opportunity to make a retrospective on the Indian Ocean mission conducted by Monaco Explorations at the end of 2022, through the screening of the documentary on the mission.
