Friday, November 17 was the closing event of the “Low-carbon entrepreneur”: a convergence between economic development and energy transition, a low-cost support program to cut the carbon footprint of Monegasque entrepreneurs, proposed and supported by the Mission for Energy Transition (MTE) in partnership with the Department of Economic Development (DDE), the Monaco Boost business incubator and the MonacoTech startup incubator.

Launched in April 2023 for a period of six months, 21 companies * took part and were given a certificate of completion of the program. The “Low-carbon Entrepreneur” project met a clear dual objective: Demonstrate to participants that becoming a low-carbon company can have a direct impact on their competitiveness; Teach them to calculate their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and define a plan of action to reduce them.

Building on its success, the renewal of this unique program in the Principality is being studied for next year.
