A new police launch was officially inaugurated on Wednesday afternoon by Prince Albert II, Princess Charlene and Charlotte Casiraghi, the patroness of Public Security.
The Saint-Georges is a new rapid intervention vessel of the Maritime and Airport Police Division (DPMA), replacing the ageing Libecciu, and has already seen service.
On July 30 the crew of the vessel saved the life of a 19 year-old man who had fallen into the sea from a catamaran off Cap d’Ail.
