Christophe Steiner has been sworn in as the Director of the Prince’s Cabinet, before HSH Prince Albert II in the Salon des Glaces.

Mr Steiner (born 29 December 1958) is a Monegasque banker and politician. He worked for Merrill Lynch from 1991 to 2000 and from 2016 until 2018 served as President of Monaco’s National Council.

Later last Friday, Guillaume Pastor and Kristel Malgherini were sworn in as advisors to the Cabinet, and Julie Donati as administrator.

A few days before taking office Christophe Steiner told local French daily Monaco-Matin: “I am very honoured, it is a position of trust. I am aware of the task that is before me. The work and the responsibilities will be very important and I approach all of this with humility.”
