A Monegasque delegation composed of diplomats from the Embassy of Monaco accredited to the Republic of Poland, the Monaco Economic Board and the Honorary Consulate of Monaco in Warsaw, took part in the 32nd edition of the Economic Forum of Karpacz, in Upper Silesia, in the southwest of Poland, which brought together nearly 4,000 participants from political and economic circles.
The Monaco Economic Board took part in two panels on renewable energy themes and tourism, and meetings were organised with stakeholders and Polish economic entities (Digital Poland Foundation, France-Poland Chamber of Commerce).
On the sidelines of the Forum, a Memorandum of Understanding was also signed between Monaco Economic Board and the German Association BWA (Federal Association for Economic Development and international trade), in the presence of Mr Joerg Steinbach, Minister of Economy, Labour and Energy of the Land of Brandenburg. This Memorandum aims to strengthen the synergies between the two entities and to develop economic opportunities on the German and Monegasque markets.
At the initiative of the Embassy of Monaco in Berlin, this first participation in the Forum economic development of Karpacz, considered the “Davos of the East”, has made it possible to lay the groundwork for a forthcoming Monegasque economic mission to Poland being studied for 2024.
