Red and white supporters will be pleased with another strong performance, this time against RC Lens, as AS Monaco thrashed their visitors in a 3-0 defeat on Saturday, September 2.
Summer signing Wiflried Singo scored his first ever goal for Monaco, and the first of the match on a Caio Henrique corner at the 24th minute to bring the score to 1-0.
Monaco midfielder Alexandr Golovin only made matters worse for the visiting Lens side with a goal of his own at the 36th minute to bring the Monégasques further ahead to 2-0.
The situation only deteriorated for the visitors in the second half, as home side defender Guillermo Maripan found the back of the net with his head on another Caio Henrique corner at the 59th minute.
A flurry of tactical substitutions ensued but the outcome of the match was not affected, and it ended in another Monaco win with a scoreline of 3-0.
With this, another win in the bag, Monaco continue to top the Ligue 1 table. Their next fixture should pose less of a threat, as Monaco will face off against RC Lorient on Sunday, September 17.
