After a great deal of anticipation, 22 year-old US International Folarin Balogun has become Premier League giants Arsenal’s record sale, having signed for AS Monaco until 2028 in a move worth 40 million euros.

‘Rouge et Blanc’ supporters are delighted to receive the news of Balogun’s arrival to the Principality so late into the summer transfer window, in a move that has frustrated Arsenal fans in equal measure, as the young gunner’s raw goal scoring skills prove to be an asset to any side.

Balogun made his presence felt in Ligue 1 last year, having spent the 2022/23 season on loan to Stade Reims, wherein he recorded a very respectable 21 goals and led his team to victory on a number of notable occasions.

An offensive force to be reckoned with from a young age, Balogun began his international career playing for England at youth level, with whom he scored 10 goals in 28 games. Thereafter, the Anglo-American striker opted to represent the American national team, in which he has inevitably risen in popularity.

With another star signing in the locker for Monaco this summer, Monaco ultras can rejoice, as a new team is beginning to blossom under the management of Adi Hütter.
