In what continues to be a rollercoaster of a transfer window for supporters of AS Monaco, news has broken of Kevin Vollands departure from the club.
After three years with Monaco, 115 games, 39 goals and 24 assists, Volland will return to the Bundesliga, more specifically Union Berlin, a year before his contract was set to expire.
The 31 year old German no.31 leaves Monaco for a total fee of 5.5 million euros, having signed in 2020 for 11 million euros. While fans will not want to see him go, there are no hard feelings, as Volland’s stint in the Principality side has been an all together positive experience.
