AS Monaco have announced the imminent departure of two first team players. German goalkeeper Alexander Nübel and Malang Sarr have reached the end of their loan contracts, and will be returning to their respective clubs by June 30.

At the end of his two season-long loan from Bayern Munich, Nübel will return to the Bundesliga giants.

Rather remarkably, Nübel is the first Monaco player not to have missed a single minute in Ligue 1 over two seasons since Jean-Luc Ettori from 1989 to 1991. Furthermore, the German had the most saves in the top flight this season with 140 to his name. Despite all this, Monaco have decided against keeping Nübel in red and white.

Meanwhile, Sarr’s story is far different, as the Frenchman has only started for the Principality 17 times before a muscle injury ended his season prematurely. Sarr is already back with Chelsea where he is continuing treatment.
