The funeral service for former Archbishop Bernard Barsi took place on Wednesday at Monaco’s Cathedral, with HSH Prince Albert, HSH Princess Charlene, and HRH Princess Caroline in attendance, together with many members of the Government, led by Minster of State Pierre Dartout.

In addition to other notables, several hundred parishioners took part in a touching service that served as a tribute to the leading cleric in the Principality over a 20-year period.

Bernard Barsi was not only hugely respected, but also very well-loved. His modesty was remarkable and his interest in others a special quality that endeared him to those who knew him.
