Ian and Martina Brodie are inviting readers to join a three-day whisky-tasting visit this autumn from Monaco to the very centre of Scotland’s whisky country, the Spey Valley.

The extended weekend includes three nights at the Craigellachie Hotel in the Scottish Highlands. Boasting “the best whisky bar in the world,” this is also the ideal base from which to visit Spey Valley distilleries with in-house guides.

October is an ideal time for such a visit, with a crispness in the Highland air to whet the whistle of whisky lovers of all kinds, experts, aficionados and just plain enthusiasts.

The 4-star Craigellachie Hotel
