Some Haagen-Dazs ice cream products have been recalled in France and Belgium after traces of a pesticide banned in the EU were found in vanilla-flavoured ice cream.
2 Chloro Ethanol is the offending cancer-causing substance, Le Parisien reported on Thursday, August 4.
The manufacture is the US company General Mills. Locally, the products are sold by Carrefour, Casino and Picard.
