Taxi passengers in Monaco now have a new official price list, with fixed fares covering journeys within the Principality and to some of the most popular destinations across the French and Italian Riviera…
The revised tariffs were published in the latest Journal de Monaco and apply day and night. A standard journey within Monaco is fixed at €18 for up to four passengers, including luggage, provided there is normal traffic and no waiting time.
Travelling further afield, the fixed fare to Nice Airport via the motorway is €110, whilst Cannes costs €200, Antibes €190 and San Remo €175. Menton centre is €65, with neighbouring Cap d’Ail and Beausoleil starting from €25. Tolls are included for the specified destinations.
Passengers travelling in taxi vans with between five and eight people will pay a 50 per cent supplement. Waiting or slow-moving traffic can also attract a charge of €90 per hour after a three-minute grace period, depending on the zone. Luggage and animals remain free.
One charge passengers may particularly want to avoid is the new €200 fee for cleaning the interior of a taxi following incidents involving intoxication or antisocial behaviour.
Formula 1 weekend remains considerably more expensive, with the Monaco fare rising to €30 and Nice Airport to €160.
