The annual celebration of Monaco’s patron saint, Sainte Devote, went ahead with the ceremonial burning of the boat on Wednesday evening, this year on Port Hercule, but without HSH Princess Charlene, who is recovering from medical problems.
On Thursday, January 27, the Prince’s Palace issued an update on her condition, noting that the Princess is continuing “an encouraging recovery” that is expected to take several more weeks.
With her husband HSH Prince Albert II, she wholeheartedly joins all Monegasques and residents on the occasion of these celebrations. As soon as her health allows it, the Princess will be delighted to share new moments of conviviality with them.”
