Mediobanca has been included in the first MIB ESG index launched by Euronext and Borsa Italiana, for Italian blue chip companies that demonstrate ESG best practices.

The index includes the top 40 companies ranked according to ESG criteria in line with the UN Global Compact principles, and weighted on the basis of the free float market capitalisation.

The index’s composition, which will be reviewed once a quarter, is based on analysis of the ESG criteria by Vigeo Eiris (V.E.), part of Moody’s ESG Solutions, which assesses issuers’ ESG performances.

Mediobanca’s inclusion in this index, following its inclusion in the S&P Europe 350 ESG index in May of this year, represents further confirmation of the Group’s commitment to pursuit of sustainable growth over time, and its respectful stance towards people, the environment and society.

CMB Monaco has itself long demonstrated its commitment to ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) issues. A range of investments implementing ESG solutions have been implemented into various products, such as customised funds combining equities and bonds.
