True to New Year tradition, President Stéphane Valeri and many National Councillors went to meet the elders of the Principality in the Cap Fleuri residences, in Qietüdine, at the Hector Otto Foundation, at the Rainier III Clinical Gerontology Centre at the Princess Grace Hospital Centre and the Speranza Day Reception Centre.
These visits are an opportunity, each year, to share precious moments of conviviality to always maintain and strengthen the intergenerational link that unites the population of Monaco, the National Council said.
President Stéphane Valeri wanted, on behalf of all National Councillors, to pay tribute to them: “We are grateful to you for having bequeathed to us a prosperous Principality… We are aware of how lucky we are to live in this beautiful country… Be sure that we are working tirelessly with the Prince’s Government to perpetuate and develop our innovative and united social and economic model, so that we can, in particular, benefit from quality retirement homes, with well-trained, competent and dedicated staff.
“Thank you, on behalf of all the elected officials, for the moments spent by your side. From the bottom of our hearts, we wish you a happy new year 2020.”
The councillors were accompanied by musicians and gave each elder a very comfortable cushion as a token of their visit.
